1. Darren and Daniel met when Daniel put an ad in the paper looking for a
singer.
2. They got the name Savage Garden from Anne Rice's novel "The Vampire Lestat"
from "The Vampire Chronicles," of which Darren is a fan.
3. They origanally bought the band name Crush from an Australian group, but
then realised there was already a group called Crush in England that was
storming up the charts.
4. Truly Madly Deeply was originally called "Magical Kisses."
5. The US To The Moon And Back video was shot in a house in Malibu.
6. The US Truly Madly Deeply video was shot in Paris.
7. The album and Truly Madly Deeply were at the #1 spot at the same time
on the Australian charts.
8. A Thousand Words was the first song Darren and Daniel wrote together.
9. To The Moon And Back was the second song written.
10. The girl in I Want You is saying "Softly as the animals fall so far
ahead..."(umm...what does that have to do with the song?)
11. Darren and Daniel have only had three arguments. (They might have had
more by now.)
12. The album has gone ten times platinum in Australia and atleast four times
platinum in the US.
13. The album shows them posing in halves. This means that they can't do
without eachother because two halves equal one (that's an awesome idea)
14. Darren and Daniel both have koala bears living in their gardens at home
in Australia.
15. When Darren and Daniel saw Titanic they loved it, but Darren has now
added a fear of boats to his fear of flying.
16. When Darren and Daniel order a pizza, they get ham and pineapple. Of
course, because Darren's a vegetarian, he picks off every microscopic piece
of ham before eating it.
17. Darren and Daniel say that they stay as far apart from eachother as possible
when they're not working or they'd drive eachother crazy.
18. The first time Darren and Daniel saw snow, they were so excited that
they were acting like small children. They just couldn't resist the temptation,
they just had to have a snowball fight in the streets of Montreal on their
way to a restaurant.
19. Darren thinks the change of the seasons is romantic. "If one day I had
to move, I would come live in Quebec, in particular, Montreal. I adore the
change of the seasons, it's sooo romantic." Daniel, on the other hand, is
disturbed by the cold. "One day we went for a walk in the city. It was so
cold, I thought my ears were going to fall off!" (He, apparently, isn't familiar
with that type of weather, than he wouldn't want to live where I live lol.)
20. Darren and Daniel were on Star 98.7 in Los Angeles. The dj (Ryan) had
said that they were "good looking guys." Daniel responded with, "Well hung"
which, if you don't know, has to do with parts of the male anatomy. Later,
the female dj said they were cute and talented and the male dj (Ryan) said,
"You're just saying that 'cause they're 'well hung!'" Embarrassed, Darren
said, "Oh my god!"
21. When Darren and Daniel went to Disneyland and went on Splash Mountain,
they gave the camera the middle finger. It was funny, but they didn't get
their photograph.
